Math is essential to progression. It allowed the creation of the forums you're using now, the computer you're typing on, the house you live in, and just about everything else. Some sort of math is used in just about everything done today.

Maths is the very foundation of technological breakthroughs. Without maths there would be no computer, without maths there would be no money and transactions. Put bascily if there was no maths we would be living in prehistoric ages.
