could i be pregnant by having sex a day before my period?

i had unprotected sex on monday and he cummed around my vagina and i started to panic and he just wiped it off and he said dont worry about it but i was still worried the next day on tuesday i got my period i heard that its very unlikley to get pregnant the day before your period because the egg is useless by then someone help?

It is very unlikely, but you should still test in 2-3 weeks, just to be sure. Most of the time, you ovulate around 12 days after the first day of your period. So, around the middle of your cycle is when you are most likely to conceive.
