I would think that is the goal of BOTH parties. The last time we had a person that was perfect they nailed him to the cross. The truth is we all have our failings as human beings. I am more concerned that an individual is qualified and competent to do the job. This idea that you toss everyone out because of a lapse in judgment way back when is costing the country time, money, and energy. No one is perfect. We should stop treating everyone in the political arena as if they are above all human frailties. We might actually get something done.

I do not see the Republican party coming close to salvaging its image until Bush is out of the picture. Until then, people are going to judge the entire Republican party by his actions.
I do not think picking a candidate on the grounds mentioned above is possible at this time with what the Republicans have in the pool so far.

No. They aren't picking a candidate to salvage anything less than the country. They need to find someone that is true to the party, that doesn't pander to special interests, and finally brings back the good ol' days of Reaganism. They need a strong willed guy that will not pander to the left, stays true to the right, and knows the differences between the two. The need to find the best candidate for this race, and beat hillary and Obama. KEEP THE WHITEHOUSE, it's the only thing they got left.

The democrats decide on their applicants, as a results of fact of this they have the great delegates, to make valuable the guy they choose in gets in. The Republicans enable the human beings decide on. i think of the main important problem is there is not any longer a first rate guy or woman who prepared to run and then wreck their call. Bush has been someones puppet and have faith me so is Obama, how does this unknown, unproven first term senator be able to get adequate donations to out spend Hillary 3 to a million? seem at numerous the folk that Obama has been linked with, Louis Farahakan to boot as others, some thing stinks, McCain may be an previous geezer yet he gets my vote

Yes and the question is applicable to ALL parties. Just think what could happen if all parties had candidates that were moral and upright...

Unfortunately "morality" is not among those familiar "Republican Family Morals" that we keep hearing about!
Why do you think they lost the Senate and Congress so easily in the last elections?

Other than Gulliani, they are not doing horrible, everyone makes mistakes, but some truly reflect what a person stands for. Mitt seems to be moral, and Im going for him so far.
