Yes, both times it was amazing. The second time was immediately after delivery and they plopped my son right on my stomach. I remember the nurse telling me not to touch him at first and I was afraid he would roll off!

Not very well. I have 2 kids, and both were C-sections. I was so loopy on the drugs the docs gave me that I remember having to have my first child placed in my arm by a nurse b/c I couldn't tell he was there. My second was in trouble and put in an incubator for a few days, and once again, I was sick, so I don't really remember how or when I held her. I am one of those women who bonds with their children at conception, so that wasn't a problem, but it was a few days after their births that I really got to hold them and touch them.

I do. It is one of the best memories of my life. It was almost like falling in love at first sight, but so much more. It was like I connected with another human in a way that I have never before, and doubt I ever will again. Being a mom is just so cool.

Yes, as vividly as if it was played in front of me every single day.
I remember being scare to hurt him, by holding him too tightly. Being sad, tired, overjoyed, proud, confused, all at the same time. Bathed in warmth, yet cold to the core...chill bumps running over and over again from the crown of my head to the tips of my toes...and his face. So small, so perfect. Yes, I remember.....

oh yes!!
I had a C-section and they took her away after showing her to me very briefly. They didn`t bring her to me until quite a few hours later....but I will never forget when they put her into my arms.....she sighed and cuddled into me as if to say "this is where I belong!"

Of course I do, it was absolutely the most amazing moment anyone could ever experience.
How could anyone ever forget that?
