I don't but my son uses a fan just like you do. He can't sleep with any outside noises so he uses a fan to to drown the noise out.

Yes, If I didn't have that fan I would go nuts. It keeps me cool and provides a soothing sound that lulls me to sleep and it also helps drown out the noise from the rest of the house.

Yes! I love the sound too! In the Winter I have to adapt to sleeping without it! Love to have the window open and it just get so cold in the night you are freezing to death!

we sleep with 3 fans going...
and my spouse also puts on the sound machine set to the sound of a train.

Yup - cannot sleep without one. My ears ring really bad and it will literally drive me crazy. I cannot handle complete silence.
