Yes. I had the chance to live in Paris for 6 months. While I was there I traveled extensively in France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Holland. I was treated very well everywhere I went, and I learned a great deal about other cultures. I wish more people had that opportunity before they put down people about whom they know nothing.

The people from Ireland, England, France, Italy were very nice. I went to France with the notion that people would be rude to Americans, but I did not find that at all. I think as long as you try to speak the national language, people will know that you are trying to be respectful and will treat you as well as you treat them.

I went to Cancun Mexico and they treat you really nice there. The like you and your money. If you tip well they will treat you like a king. That is not the only thing nice about it though. It was a great trip and I am planning on going back. The weather was great and the place has so much to do and so beautiful. I highly recommend it.

I've been to Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. I was treated very well. Especially in Germany. Evidently my last name (maiden name that is) is some big company over there. I think mustard or something. It was awesome to see all the old castles and stuff. And Belgium had the best coffee.

yes, went to England in March right after Sept. 11.
There was a group standing outside of Buckingham Palace protesting the war. A woman grabbed me and pulled me in screaming something about "bloody Americans"...asking me to join them...blah blah...So I said something to her about it, I can't even remember what, but something to the effect that I didn't agree w/ her. She gave me this look and screamed "AMERICAN...AMERICAN"...scared the crap out of me. Good thing my b/f at the time was a big guy.
Other than that, was treated very well.

I have been to Europe and to the Islands. I was always treated well. I also acted right, which probably helped a great deal.

I've been to Germany. It had good moments, but a few bad ones too. Overall, I don't regret living there for 4 years.
