Hi, good question!!! I hv seen many ppl have said "Hymn" however those are christian praise. Carol again is hymn sung with joy. infact there in no right word in english for Bhajan, hence you can use the word "Devotional songs" which is a general term.

They are not hymns.Hymns are keerthanas. Ofcourse they are also devotional songs but they are not sung in the way hymns are.
