August 15 to August 18, 1969.

It actually lasted four days! Was supposed to be three.
It had gotten a late start on on the 17th. so, they ran long!

At 9 am, Monday, 18 August, 1969, after playing 12 songs, Jimi Hendrix launched into the Star Spangled Banner, waking up many who decided to stay. After playing four more songs, Jimi left the stage, and Woodstock was over.

The next year they had a Christian version of Woodstock in Wilmore, Kentucky. the Seminary there made it happen. Called Ichthus. It went for year after year and is still going strong every year since. I believe it now lasts Thursday through Sunday, and the finest Chrisian music artists play, along with all the attendant vendors and advertisers. Twenty thousand youth attend. What a hoot. And little to no dope or booze. Just fun and worship. Jesus is honored.

I think all of the Woodstocks were "three days of music and love" (tho' the love got lost in the last couple)--Friday-thru-Sunday.
