Is is hard to replace a fuel filter on a 97 Bravada?

No, it should be in an easily accessible location along the driver's side frame rail (underneath the truck). It has flared connections on both ends, so you'll need two wrenches. (one to hold the filter and one to loosen the fuel connections)

I believe the line fittings are 15mm, and the filter boss is 16mm, but don't quote me on that.

Don't forget to relieve the fuel pressure before you disconnect the filter. This can be achieved by removing the fuel pump relay and cranking the engine over a few times. If it starts, let it run until it dies. If it does not start, crank about 5 times for 5 second intervals. This will relieve the pressure, but be prepared for gas to come out of the filter and lines as well.
