I have a 2002 Nissan Spec V that recently started making a loud cyclic noise from the right front wheel. I was on a road trip down in Florida when I first noticed this occur (I live in Michigan). The noise at first only happened when I turned right while driving, now it sometimes happens when I'm going straight as well (but not turning left). The noise also does not occur when I'm braking or accelerating, but happens when I am decelerating.
At first, I thought this was my brakes, as they need replacing. Ordered new rotors/pads and am getting them installed this week. However, I noticed yesterday after taking a couple hour trip to visit a friend that the noise from the wheel is significantly reduced now after that trip on the highway, but I can still hear it if I turn off the radio and listen closely. I'm confused now, do I have a problem with my differential or wheel bearings? Could it just be worn brakes? Being that the noise ceases when I apply the brakes, I'm getting worried...

Highly likely to be a CV joint going out.
Check the CV joint's boot and see if the boot is torn. If not, then you'll need to take it to a mechanic to see if the CV joint is just worn.

Its a worn out cv joint in your front drive axle if it needs brakes save on the labor have them replace the axle at the same time buy remanuctured not used the axle is about a 100 plus 1 hour labor

Yes, I would have your wheel bearings looked at. Since your getting the brakes fixed, have them check your bearings. It could be your brakes too... A pad may have slipped and is rubbing. Its an easy fix whatever the problem is. The person who fixes your brakes should let you know.

It is not the brakes it is the Cv axle making that noise

it seems like it is your CV joint, if the CV BOOT has been damaged it would have happened a wile ago in order for it to be clicking. you should take it to a mechanic, and they can tell you if your axel needs to be replaced.
sorry to say it seems like you will need to replace the axel.

check your CV Joints and that all the lugs are tight on your tire.. also look at the condition of your outer tie rod ends

or a wheel bearing...I just changed both the cv joints and wheel bearings in my car...had the same problem...no more!!
