Yes, I have. My twin had a major drug problem many years ago. She was trying to get her act together and needed money to rent a place, as her addiction brought her to homelessness. I did go pay the money she needed to the landlord, but would not put the money in her hands. Years later she thanked me for that. She said if I had actually given her the money it would have gone right into her dealer's hand. Now she's clean and sober and has been that way for a long time! She worked hard at it and I am so proud of her! Have a glorious day! Annie

Yes, I have had to tell a family member "No" and it was hard. I hate denying anything I have that is needed, but sometimes, I have to say "No" out of tough love. Relationships in my family will never ever end, because we are FAMILY. It always works out in the end.

yes even including my kids. My sister didn't speak to me for years and told other family members bad things about me after I turned her down. We got back together again just before she passed away.

Yes my parents advised me not to loan money to my sister because she never pays back. And that is true because they have loaned her money and never received a dime. I told her no and actually she was fine with it our relationship has never been all that great, but we are working on it.

When my daughter was a child I told her "NO" plenty of times.
We could afford almost anything she wanted but to be a good parent my job wasn't to give her anything she wanted.
She's 22 years old now and we're very good friends.

It's very hard to say NO!!
My sister has three kids and a hubsand. Every time she needed something..I would gave it to her..diapers, bottles..milk...food..anything...and I never got a thank you. Till today..I'm still shy to say NO. And it seems to me now that she and hubby are taking full advantage of me.
I can say NO to my son. Because I want him to learn that he can't always get what he wants. But sometimes it can be very hard to say NO to him.
Best Of Luck
