I took my child to the beach at 2 or 3 months of age. I took the stroller onto the sand and brought an umbrella and blanket. The first time we took her, she fell asleep as soon as we stopped on the sand and she slept in the stroller under the umbrella very happily. The next time she rolled on the blanket a bit and then fell asleep. It should be fine.
Peace!
PS - I don't recommend dipping a new born's feet into the ocean and bring a good book in case your child falls asleep like mine did.

I brought my son when he was 3 months (in September too) so I say go for it. However, be prepared he might not react the way you think he will and you might need to turn around and leave. My son loves being outside but he HATED the beach. He was under an umbrella, fully clothed (it was San Diego so not too hot) etc., and yet he screamed from the moment we stepped onto the sand until the moment we left. I think it was the wind that bothered him. So, like everything in parenthood, don't go in with clearcut expectations and expect your plans may have to change. Hopefully, your son will enjoy it.
As for the sunscreen info., the AAP says that it's better to use sunscreen, even in one so young, than to go without when in the sun. Of course, shade and long-sleeved shirts and pants are best, but if they're not adequate use the sunscreen.

There's probably nothing wrong with it...but I would check with your pediatrician.
Personally I would not...I have a five month old and still have not.
The beaches are so gross around here...the last time I went I got a rash on my foot...the last thing I'd ever want is for something like that to happen to my little guy!!
Just make sure you go to clean beach and keep baby protected from the sun (including his very sensitive eyes) and protected from the elements.

I took my son to Florida when he was 3 months old. I made sure to check with his pediatrician before I even thought about taking him because I was scared about it. He said it would be fine just not to let him get too hot or be in the sun for a long time, and to use baby sunscreen, but do not put a lot on him just use it sparingly. My son had a fun time, my husband even took him out in the water for a minute and he liked it.

i think its okay, just take lots and lots of sunscreen and make sure that you have a big umbrella for him. The sun and fresh air would do him good and the more he's outside the less likely he is to develop outdoor allergies and other things like that. As long as he isn't eating the sand everything is okay.

The beach is too dirty to take a new born there. You should at lease wait till the kid can walk. The pool and the beach are to different things. It's because of the sand that makes the beach dirty.

I introduced my son whilst he replace into 3 months (in September too) so I say decide for it. even if, be arranged he won't react the type you think of he will and you'll be able to might desire to tutor around and pass away. My son loves being exterior yet he HATED the coastline. He replace into below an umbrella, totally clothed (it replace into San Diego so no longer too warm) etc., and yet he screamed from the 2d we stepped onto the sand till the 2d we left. i think of it replace into the wind that afflicted him. So, like each thing in parenthood, do no longer pass in with clearcut expectancies and anticipate your plans might might desire to alter. with a bit of luck, your son will take exhilaration in it. As for the sunscreen information., the AAP says that that's extra powerful to apply sunscreen, even in one so youthful, than to pass without whilst interior the solar. of course, color and long-sleeved shirts and pants are perfect, yet whilst they do no longer look to be sufficient use the sunscreen.

My nephew was born last october and we took him to the beach with us right after new years when some company came. As long as your baby is covered up it should be ok. make sure you cover your babys head if it is windy. they wind tends to make them not breathe as well but if the blanket is covering it then it should be no problem!

Well, my husband and I live in North Carolina and we took our daughter to the beach very early on. She did great, we just had to make sure that she didn't get overheated or anything. In the end, only you can decide what is best for your baby!!
