i think man is one of many fruits of the universe,,,,, in order to be special and important, and high,, there is no need to place other things in a "less than" or lower position. we are a combination of spirit and matter,,,,,, and yes i think the universe is interconnected, so is aware of man,,,,,,as man is a part of it,,, just as we are aware of our various human parts, though we might not pay attention to each one all the time,,,, as to warm/friendly/cold/indifferent etc,, the rest of the universe can be all of those,,,, depending on the circumstance,,,,,, in general i would say accepting,,,,, as a part of itself

Man is the best creation of God.He gave man a brain with the ability to think and the power to change and of course gave him a choice to choose between good and bad.All the things that exist came from God and will go back to it.Spirit is a divine entity and did not came from matter. Basically what exactly spirit is no one knows. Different people interpret it in different ways, I'm sure u will be having an opinion about it.
I personally believe that universe is conscious of man since it is above all of the matter.
If in the last part of ur question u mean angels then I need to remind u that all of the angels bowed before Adam. This concludes that all the entities in the universe respect man.
U really need to look back to the faithwhivh u come from because all the scriptures of the world talk of man and his origin and place in universe.

Man would never survive if we didn't have the greatest tool in the world: our brain. But that doesn't secure us a significant place in the universe, though we've made a significant effect. Spiritually we're not the highest fruit, perhaps we're near the lowest because we were given the gift of powerful brains, yet we use them incredibly but do not think about the consequences, just advancing. In the Animal Kingdom, the human race would not survive, because of the way we are built. A Lions way of survival is it's large meat-tearing teeth and muscular body. We were only left to fight with our brains, and because they have no limits, the world is out of control. Maybe we could of blamed our creator. We've evolved beyond matter. Overall I think we're insignificant.

The birth as a human being is the highest in creation in the sense, that human can ascend to divinity and none else. Hence even angels like to take birth as human in order to attain God. Of course he has evolved from matter, plants, birds, animals and then finally as human being. He has to refine himself and relinquish the ego and selfishness and raise to the status of god.
