After the wedding receptions she slept at her girls friend home and didn't tell any member of our family, she told me that she wasn't ready to live with him and the husband told her he will wait for her until she is ready, now she doesn't talk to us for two weeks and I wrote her a letter to support her and she didn't answer . We are a very close family. I see the boy friend more than her.

She is 32 years old. She got married before and she lived with him for a month. After 9 months she got married with this guy. I'm worried for her.

How old is she??? Why did she got married??? and Why are you seeing more her boy friend more than her ???
Maybe she was not ready to get married and she did it for an impulse or other reasons byt if a person got married for love then the marriage is consumed if not I don't get the point of even gettign married with someone your not living with.... She is the ONLY one that will decide on what to do and no one else , but I bet he will not wait for ever to see if she is ready or not !!! good luck

I think that she wasn't ready to get married and that she felt bad to tell him that. But if her husband told her that he will wait for her that is a good man but he won't wait forever. She needs to figure out what she wants to do because marriage is a big step to make. And she may be pulling away from the family because she may be embarrassed. Just keep supporting her.

Maybe something happened . Give her time maybe she will tell you when shes ready. I have a cousin that did the same she got married and after a couple of month's she went to go live with her mom. She stays there all week and maybe on the weekends she goes with her husband. i don't know why they got married either??!?!?

I must say after reading the details yes thats very strange. if she wasn't even ready to live with him why the hell did she marry the poor guy (rhetorically speaking). she needs to stop being a coward and face up to the choice she made of being married- either have it enolled if she thinks she made a mistake or move on with her married life and accept her role as a newlywed wife! You- as a sister, should be honest and stern with her and tell her the truth- not what she wants to hear. She shouldn't continue to leave the poor guy in limbo!

That sounds very odd to me but if he is willing to wait and it's not causing a problem then I would mind my own business. If you have a strong feeling that something is wrong then keep trying to reach her, maybe she didn't want to get married in the first place or maybe she is too young????

I have never heard of a couple getting married and then not living together and consumating the marriage. Is this something unique to your culture?

your sister is going through something and it sounds like she wasn't ready for a serious committment like marrage and she's just trying to find out how she feels but the least thing she could do is let someone know she's still alive

Maybe she is gay, and only got married because it was expeceted of her. Or is the husband an immigrant who had to pay her to marry him so he could get residencey rights?
