Do some research and have a lot of patience.

1. Show up very early for the show and walk around. If there are eateries, shops, etc. around the music venue, you may bump into band members walking around the area.

2. Wait around outside the venue after the show. You may be waiting for a while, but find the backdoor exit from the venue and wait for the band to come out. Most likely the tour bus will be parked near the back exit from the music venue.

3. Look around the audience during opening band sets. Sometimes band members will sneak out into the crowd to watch opening bands.

4. If the band has a website with a message board/forum, visit it and see if anyone else has met the band and how they did it.

Good luck.

Ha what a cool question. I work in the concert biz (security) so i've seen A LOT of shows over the past 5 years. I've gotten a chance to meet some rockstars. I have to say even though Lars Ulrich is a prick on the some kind of monster movie, he is a nice guy if you have a chance to talk to him. I've gotten a lot of cool swag over the years but I think my most favorite thing is a Carlos Santana guitar pick that his tour manager gave to me the first year I was doing security. The Eagles security managers know me by name and give me a hug every time they are in town. I have pass sheets, guitar picks, backstage passes, drum sticks, posters.. just a bunch of stuff.

everybody else stole my answers! in summary, get there super early cuz other people go there early too. and mcfly won't be eating in restaurants or other places nearby. their food is catered and is backstage. DON"T wait out by the tour bus. u can try but there'll be a whole bunch of other people waiting before you and the closest you can get to the tour bus is like 10 ft. if mcfly are generous enough, they'll take a few pics but yeah. they'll be too busy and will have to leave soon.

i agree with the waiting by the tour bus. i don't know the band you're going to see or how big they are, but a lot of bands hang out at the merch booth after the show to meet fans and increase merch sales. i also check the bands site and try to find other fans. you get the best tips from those who have met them before

find out where the band will be staying, & then stake out the place before/after the show...arrive at the venue early, around the time when the band will be doing soundcheck...look for the band`s tourbus parked around/near the venue & check for the band...find the backstage area & sneak in!!! good luck!!!
