Pink FLoyd is the greatest, no question about it, but there are other great bands that may tickle your fancy. May I recomend the early work of Genesis, pre-Phil Collins at the helm. Also there is a very interesting sound coming from a band called Marillion, who will intrigue you. Also try listening to some of the sounds of Yes, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and also some of their respective work as soloists. Steve Howe, Steve Hackett, Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Rick Wakeman, etc.
There are a few most recent additions that might trigger a good response: Laurie Anderson, Gustavo Cerati(Front man of an Argentinian Band called Soda Stereo) And a final piece of advice, don't close the doors at great music. You can find great pleasure in broadening your listening spectre.

You can't. Pink Floyd is one of the all-time greatest rock bands. I never could figure out how they kept coming up with so much material about the late Syd Barrett (who with Roger Waters co-founded the band), who spent most of his life battling mental illness. As far as electronic music goes Emerson, Lake and Palmer is a great band. Yes is another great band in that genre.

I know how you feel. I'm like that with "The Doors". I think it's all that psychedelic music that puts you in a trance and brainwashes you sorta. I recommend the Doors to you. I like Pink Floyd a lot too.
