13 Bilion this year

The budgeted money for NASA from 1990 to the present has ranged from 10 billion a year to 16 billion. But you must consider that much research and development that goes into NASA projects is outside the actual budget for NASA. And that number can not be figured easily. Much of the Military research dollars go to NASA projects as weapons development. That is, guidance systems, rocket tech, fuels, etc. And, although the budgeted dollars were about 16 billion last year, that does not include "cost over-runs" a standard, add on to any government spending.

NASA gets about $16 billion a year. That is a lot by personal standards but a drop in the bucket by government standards. It is less than 1% of US government spending.

Something like 1 to 2 cents of every tax dollar you pay goes to NASA.

I calculated that a few years ago.

none, tax dollars go to the federal reserve to pay the debt owed by the government, they then loan more money to congress to continue the cycle. that's why taxes are illegal and millions of people dont pay them
