No it does not, and What I have learned is that filing contempt charges is a waste of time and money. All they are going to do is slap him on the wrist, and tell him to get insurance. Your best bet is to get insurance on your own, and make him pay for it!!! He cannot get out of that - they will add it to his child support!!!!

no, he does not stand a chance of losing joint custody. A contempt means that he is not complying to the court order. He will have to go in front of a judge and tell him why. The judge has many options on what to do after that. Be it pay medical bills in whole, give him a certain amount of time to get insurance. If your husband lost a job that had good insurance. He can go back to court and try to get it changed that you both carry insurance and split the medical bills. There are a number of different options, but he will not lose joint custody.

No it doesn't mean he will lose joint custody. It means he will be given a certain amount of time to provide insurance or he can be fined or jailed.

No, it means he has to buy insurance or he has to pay more for the child's maintenance in which way you can buy it for her.End of the day, the child needs nothing both love and attention from both their parents.
