It wasn't only the white man who enriched themselves through this filthy trade, native africans did too by actually selling their own brethren.
Will their descendants apologise for the sins of their fathers?

Nika;
How on Earth did you get a rating as top contributor, I ask a question about slavery and you complain about my,correct spelling, of the word "apologising".
I am British and the word can be spelt with an "s" or a "z".
Did you get your rating by giving nonsense answers to lots and lots of questions you knew nothing about?

There is no doubt about it that African tribal chiefs connived with Arab slave traders in this vile trade and in a veiled sort of way it still goes on today. Yes!Africans living in Britain ought to stand up and apologise for the hand they openly played in this trade.

That's a very good point. The white colonials(the first ones were Spanish, I believe) did not invent slavery, they merely took advantage of a system that was already in place. The only people in the whole equation who got something for no investment at all were the primary slavers, who were... African. Let's not overlook the part warring tribes had to play.

You've raised a very valid point! I don't think it would happen at all. Just look at the state that some African countries are in now. the rulers of some nations are rich beyond belief yet there are still people fighting to survive every day. It disgusts me.

It has to end first. They, the African slave traders of yesterday and today, don't see any wrong in what they are doing or have done. It's money, a business to them and that's all that matters.

Of course not. Its only the whites who are forced to apologise in this world.

Wrong so wrong.

Why inquire about apologizing and you can't even spell it?

EDIT: Moon, leave me the hell alone!! You were asking crazy questions, so you know I had to get you! I'm from the South, too by the way...

Lurned1, who cares? I sure as hell don't--he has enough problems in his own country than to be worried about America. Plus, he is really rude in his other posts...

Barrie G,

When you write to an AMERICAN audience, you don't use BRITISH spelling...and it's wrong when you are addressing Americans because it's not in an AMERICAN dictionary, you dafty. You might want to pick one up one day. And why and how in the hell does slavery concern you? And you'd never be a top contributor because you waste your points on asking retarded questions such as this one, you prick...

I think (though I could be wrong) that would be nearly impossible to determine. Maybe if they knew, they would. Don't get your hopes up.
