Walk up to the boss and let him know how incompetent he is and how amazed you are that he never found his true calling of working in the circus.......because he is such a clown.
Then walk off.

Getting fired isn't hard - just quit showing up. But if you do something and get fired for cause, don't expect to collect unemployment - the employer can tell the unemp comp people what you did, and if they agree you should have been fired for it, you won't get unemp comp.
Why don't you just look for another job, then quit your current one when you find a new job? Wouldn't that make more sense? And if you don't think you can find another job that's not worse than what you have, you need to think things through - most people are working for a paycheck, not because they love going to work every day. Do you need a paycheck to eat and keep a roof over your head? Then you need to just deal with it. If you're independently wealthy, then great, just walk in and quit.

I can't believe the answers you are getting. Is this sight a joke? I don't think so. Here is my good advice. Get the book by Dan Miller 48 Days to the Job you Love. Ok, if you don't want to buy it at least consider this. Think of things you enjoy doing, have a special talent for, photography? Customer service? landscaping? Look for something that fits your needs and personality. Getting a job just to get a job is sad. Find something you will enjoy and you will excel at it. I recently sold two businesses. I am now going to open another store online. I have gained the knowledge to do so and will enjoy the challenge. So, Find Something YOU Like.

Unless you have another job lined up, why are you in a hurry to get fired? That part is easy...just show up late, leave early...or don't show up at all. You can use that (paid) time doing things you want to do, like hanging out on Y!A.
Quitting is also an option, but you wouldn't get unemployment checks (unless given certain circumstances). But quitting looks better on your resume or when you're looking for your next job.

Keep in mind that if you are fired for gross misconduct, you won't be eligible for unemployment benefits. They are trying to prevent exactly what you are trying to accomplish.
