Generalizations like that are rarely true. MOST conservatives are not hateful, mean spirited or insulting. Neither are MOST liberals.
MOST Americans genuinely want what is best for their families and our country, and MOST are generally good people.
A few rotten apples spoil every basket, though, and the mean ones of both parties make everyone else look bad.
By the way, I am generally conservative, but come from a very politically diverse family - conservative father and very liberal mother who have been happily married for almost 40 years, liberal sister who is my best friend...it's a matter of respecting other people and their values, even when you disagree with them.

Conservatives are kind, loving and considerate, usually Christian, so they BELIEVE in forgiveness and generosity.
Why do LIBS insist extorting money from the generous and charitable through the tyrannical power of the federal government?
Is it HATE? ENVY? or is it SATAN???? Maybe they judge conservatives out of the darkness in their OWN hearts!
Statistical evidence PROVES that Conservatives are more generous than Liberals.

Liberals are bleeding hearts. They want to know WHY they guy killed 47 children and cut them up and kept them in his freezer for 27 years. Conservatives don't care WHY - just do the same to him and get on with it.
