make it puke it out. i don't know the technique, but the vet probably would have its stomach pumped.

You need to make the dog vomit quickly. Rat poison causes internal bleeding. The reason it works on rats is because they can't puke.
call a vet as well just to see if there is any human remedy that will help.

Leave your place and go find one.
Syrup of Ipecaec will work. make the dog puke for now and line the car with towels. Buy new towels afterwards. Fluffy ones.
