About the conflict between India and Pakistan.

Obviously an threat between Pakistan and India includes the threat of nuclear war. The other reason is historic. The Kashmir region has been a dispute area since at least the British occupation. A 200 year old fight does not go away. It has to be resolved.

It may have something to do with the fact that India and Pakistan both now have nuclear weapons.

Maybe because the conflicts arising from that long drawn problem have already caused undue sufferings to affected people! Who is to blame? Not only the two countries you have mentioned but also Britain for sowing the seeds for the friction!

Because of China's interest in the region mainly, that and the two countries you cited both have nuclear weapons.

It could be a major war between different religious factions. Terrorism would be a major part.
