I think 60.....however, I know using the cruise control as someone else suggested is a bad idea if your conserving gas

Depends on what you're driving. A little car, with standard transmission, 70mph and you could drive all day. An SUV and you'd have to fill up in a couple hours. An 18 wheeler and you dried out your tanks and blew your engine getting up to that speed.

It depends on how the engine is set up. Most of the catalytic convertors and internal computers are set up for 60 for optimal results.

I would say 70, becauseif you run out of gas and don't press the brake, you might roll farther since you have more force.
