Why do some people write their own name everywhere?

Some people write their names or do signature where ever they find a pen or marker.. Why is that?

perhaps out of a need to be remembered by someone outside of their circle of family and friends.


some people may not feel a good solid sense of self worth or they may appear to have a highly inflated ego, yet be deeply insecure, hence the desire to write their names in public for all to see ,, hoping to give the impression that they are someone special maybe?


This type of person may feel unusually alone in the world or not appreciated , even alienated perhaps from society.


writing their names everywhere could be an expression of the lonliness and deep though basically unconsious longing for recognition somewhere, by somebody in an otherwise very empty existence.


this is only speculation on my part.


when children do this i feel its different and i think most kids love to write on anything they can find to write on. i know i did as a child. Another possibility maybe is that in kids its a way of stamping in their developing sense of a separate personal identity? i am sometimes too seriouus in my response but i always seek underlying causes to peoples behaviours. helen

They have no respect for others or their property. They also demonstrate a lashing out for attention and recognition. They were either abused as children or neglected, or both.

i ve been writing my name on the piece of papers and notebooks since i was little, im a grown man and still do it sometimes, in different languages (papers and notebooks are always mine). can you explain this particular case?
