I try very hard and I pray and ask God to help me and change my heart. I do not like white people unless I know them, or I have had interactions with them. Does that make me racist? I dont know what happened. I went to private schools with all whites, I grew up in the suburbs. I am excellent at being tolerant and I have an ability to be cordial. But the truth is I just dont like white people. I was thinking about going to psychologist, but I dont hate them. I just dont like the ones that I dont know. Please give me any answers you would like. I am not saying this to be disrespectful to whites. It is just my feelings.

Thank you for all of your responses. The reason I posed the question was due to the fact I was open to receive all of your answers regardless of what they are. You see the reality is this I do not have an inferior complex. White people for the most part have a delusion of superiority. I personally dont care if whites dont like me. I actually encourage it. I am referring to the ones that did not understand that this was an honest question. So to all of you that are incapable of being diplomatic without being insulting. Kudos to you. BTW. My enviroment consists of graduating with honors with a bachelor degree, and currently living the life that many of you wish you could. This is only to the ones that deemed it necessary to say things that carry no merit. Keep the comments coming. Some are insightful others are amusing!

Honey, I don't know why the white people are getting mad and all defensive because they post the same exact question--and worse--every day like they have no other life or something. What you feel is what you feel, no one can change that but God. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean that you are going out murdering them and whatnot like they used to do Black people. And trust me honey, it's definitely NOT an inferiority complex...there's nothing that a white person has that you nor I want. I have my own money, my own success, REAL features that God gave me. Congratulations on your success...see how many more crybabies will respond to this question...
**You are not racist; you just don't go up to everybody and speak to them like you've been knowing them for years or something...

Well I don't think your being racist. You are just apprehensive of people who you dont know which is understandable, and even if it's just white people that you are apprehensive of I really dont think it's racist. I mean I am white and dont take offense to it. Everyone has apprehensions of cultures and society but not everyone airs there views. The fact that you are asking for forgiveness and trying to change your outlook is promising and shows that you are willing to change. You must also consider your background, and in all honesty if I was in your position I imagine I would also share your views. As long as your not being nasty or vindictive towards any particular culture or race or whatever then I believe there is nothing wrong with it. In an ideal world everyone loves everyone, this isn't an ideal world as you know. I hope my opinion is helpful to you :)

To answer your question, Yes, you are racist. You don't like people you don't know and the unifying factor in all of this is the color of their skin. If you were a white person saying the same thing about black people, you would be considered racist. Frankly, even if you're white, disliking people you don't know who happen to all be white would technically be racist. Props to you for at least asking the question and good luck working through that.

I don't know if you are a racist. You say you like white people if you get to know them. A racist hates everyone of a certain color no matter what. I guess I would call you prejudiced.
I don't blame you for not going to a psychologist.

I think that's racist. Maybe it was the way you were brought up or something. I love white people--or any other race. There are some things I don't like about some of them, and there are some things I don't like about my race or any other race. Everyone has his faults, but that doesn't compromist their character as a whole. I just don't like racists period.

You are NOT racist. You are prejudiced.
You don't like these people without even knowing them, but you DO like white people you know.
You should probably work on your level of acceptance. There are some deep-seeded issues you must deal with.
But to answer your question, quite exactly, you are NOT racist.

I wouldn't say that. I am white and I feel more comfortable with my own race too and I have never ever been physically attracted to anyone that wasn't white. Emotionally yeah, but not physically. It is in your human nature to be that way, and since you don't purposely try to be that way, then your not racist. I do feel bad too when I am not comfortable and don't like to be around other races too, but as long as we aren't automatically judging people are making rude comments, then are fine and respectable people. Your completely normal. Have a great day.

No, you are being completley honest and truthfull, unlike almost anyone you see in the Media. Most people feel the same way you do until they meet or work with everyone that is opposite of them. I did until I worked in an Urban area. But don't believe all "politically correct" idiots on TV. They are unrealistic. You just need to tell yourself that what people tell you isn't always true. I learned it for myself. And don't listen to idiots like the guy above me, they are the ignorant that breed the hate between us. Just like people like Imus and Al Sharpton do at the top.

How can you not like someone you don't know? If you've never met them, how can you know if you'd get on well? Maybe you have a fear of the unknown. Probably a psychologist would be a good idea, you sound like you know this is an unreasonable problem and need help.
