Oscars are very predatory fish that cannot be housed with other fish unless you want them to be eaten. Sorry! Most oscars have large appetites and can grow to almost a foot in length, so you need a minimum of a 55 gallon tank to keep it comfortable, since they produce a ton of waste. Oscars do enjoy interacting with their owners, so don't feel guilty to keep one by itself. Some can even be tamed enough to take food from their owner's fingers! Best of luck and happy fishkeeping!

Not very many. Oscars are large and territorial fish. Only things as large as they are and/or as mean as they are stand a chance. Texas cichlids, Jack Dempseys and similar fish can do ok, but only if you have a very large (125+ gallon) tank.
