No they will not. To begin with Islamists are not very popular with the Egyptian people. They are viewed as fanatics and are not well respected. Furthermore, they lost all credibility when they called former President Sadaat, the most popular Egyptian president to date. Not to mention the government has a strong crackdown on the extremists in the country.

Good point, the #2 man in Al Quieda was the head of Muslim Brotherhood before merging into Al Quieda. They are the same people who killed Sadat. They are more dangerous than Al Quieda, relying less on suicide bombers and more on attacks. This guy was held and tortured by Egyptians for years.

Mubarek has proven to be a tougher nut than Sadat though. He is certainly more ruthless. Compared to him Sadaam was a liberal.

I pretty sure that if we are not in Iraq or if Osama dies, Al Quieda will be turning it's eyes toward Egypt
