My ig is 6 years old and about 5 feet long. His home is in a large cage with a UVA light and he gets a very varied diet of veggies. Last year he had a tumor on one of his toes and I got that surgerical removed, but I think one of his knees is now swelling up too! He's still moving around fine, but I'm wondering if there is a common disease that ig's get or something.. any input is greatly appreciated!

it could be one of two things an abscess or fluid build up usually from an injury. abscess' can be caused by usually a small infection and it will normally feel hard to the touch it will need to be removed by a vet and most likely antibiotics will need administering. fluid buildup from a "bruise" is common also have you notice him favoring the leg at all and is it sensitive to your touch if so it may go away on its own but close attention should be given because it could turn into a full body infection. this is all on the assumption that evrything is correct in your setup to verify see the site below. uvb is absolutely mandotory don't skip it. and you got to admit it jims answer was funny a little.

they need vitamins, veggies are good and so are fruits, but there are some vitamins and minerals that are not in these diets.
