Not that I think he's very good, or belongs in the competition at this point, and I certainly don't think he should win. But when the judges had control, they kept putting him through. The kid's gotten nothing *but* negativity, all over, and he's only 17! I don't think the world would stop if a less than amazing performer won American Idol, and I don't think he deserves all he's getting.

Discuss. :-)

NO, actually, I'm kind of surprised, but he's improving! I know th e"teens" are voting for him.. but what's wrong with that? Isn't that what this competition is all about? the way it's set up, they should have known it'd come to this. I do think he's getting a bad rap, tho. He isn't as bad as he once was.. and he IS still as cute... c'mon, you gotta admit that! according to www.dialidol.com he's listed as 5th...... not too bad. He was up to 3rd at one point last night... (Lakisha is showing the lowest on that poll.. and she's very good!) time will tell...

No i dont feel sorry for him. American Idol is about the best competitor winning...and he isn't the best competitor by far and should have been gone a long time ago. I feel much more sorry for those who actually have talent and could be great artists but are jipped of their chance of a lifetime because some ******** like Howard Stern decides to go on a power and ego trip.

Think about the first season with Kelly Clarkson, had this happened then, we would have missed out on a beautiful voice and excellent performer. Its just so sad to me that these people have the one opportunity that might allow them to reach their dreams and someone decides he wants to ruin that chance. Howard Stern has no talent other than that he's a sarcastic excuse for a man, what if HIS one chance to make it was stolen from him? Then i think he'd be crying.

Well, like you said. Even when the judges were in control, he was getting through. MAybe he does have some talent that the judges saw n him, but, no, he doesn't deserve to still be there. Ifd he does have ANY talent in him, now would be a great time for him to use it if he wants to stay in the "good eyes" of the public. Some people sayt that this whole thing is just a scam to mess up American Idol. And they might be right.

No, I don't feel sorry for him. He's received more publicity than any of the other contestants and by all appearances seems to be enjoying it. I actually thought he was pretty good earlier on in the competition and don't blame the judges for putting him through. Now it's completely up to us, the American people. I did actually kind of enjoy his performance last night, and he IS a cute kid. I don't think he will ultimately win the competition, but he's certainly got his name out there!

I don't feel sorry for him at all...I feel sorry that we have to watch him every week making a fool of himself and still make it through...but hey, apparently he is popular enough to stay on the show...I mean, America is voting. He's coming through every week with a different image...kids love him...Indians are voting for him even though he is Hawaiian. Oh well, no worries...he will definitely not become the idol...and somehow if he does..I will boycott the show forever.

you guys are being sort of mean to sanjaya. i mean, yeah, he's not that great and should have gone home a long time ago. but it's not his fault that websites are telling people to "vote for the worst" and that little girls think he's cute.

he's trying his best to sing and impress the judges and all people do is make fun of him. he isn't looking for websites to make fun of him. even ryan seacrest takes stabs at him, joking about him before he comes on.

all sanjaya is trying to do is become better and people are making fun of him.

They all have access to computers and know what's going on. I don't feel sorry for him when he sits there watching his fellow contestants that can actually sing sit there crying because they were voted off and he knows he's still there because people are voting for the worst. He doesn't feel sorry so why should anyone feel sorry for him? He's become arrogant and selfish. I will cheer when he gets thrown off.

I don't feel sorry for him because he brings it on himself. Last night he was OK but the weeks before he made a fool of himself and I think he knows it. Surely he knows he's only on there because little girls think he's cute and because of http://www.votefortheworst.com/ He needs to take things more seriously.

Why should we feel sorry for him? He is having the time of his life. And no, he does not look to be offended by any criticism. If anything, he looks too cocky when he is onstage, which is totally annoying. No talent, but tons of self-confidence.

No I don't feel sorry for him. I think that he is holding back alot. I think he wanted to fly in under the radar and then Bam. I think he really maybe able to sing which scares me.
