Sorry sweetie. I walked around like that for about a month before I was finally induced. Every woman's body is different. When the baby is ready to come, it will.

The castor oil thing is just a myth, it's supposed to give you diahreah, which in turn would cause your stomach to cramp up and start the contractions. I've had two children and both times my labor started very differently. My only suggestion is to walk. If you've have indeed lost your plug, labor should start within 24 hours. Now, that's not guaranteed. I was very impatient with my first child and after I lost my plug, I walked until I couldn't walk anymore, I had the baby about 35 hours after I lost the plug. The second time around, I was much more relaxed and kind of let it happen and it was a much better experience for me. I wasn't exhausted and I was very well rested.

do not use the Castor oil anymore i know they say going poo will help bring it along but the don't want you dehydrated either and going to the bathroom a lot do to the Castor oil can do that.
i delivered my son three days early your baby will come when she/he is ready so enjoy these days to your self because when the baby comes those days are gone.
when that day comes i hope your not like me it was my first and i had back labor because i moved to fast a 7 hour labor i didn't get any pain meds and i was not induce it was my body doing the work.
they might give u a enema in the hospital which they did with me and it worked great jumped me from 4cm to 8cm in 30 Min's.no lie.

I am in the same situation but I have not tried anything yet except the spicy foods, which at this point now I don't think anything will happen only because we want it to, just like the getting pregnant part, you want it so bad that it happens when you least expect it. Only 3 weeks left so try to hang in you went this far a little longer won't hurt.
Good luck

I would de-stress right now. Think about it, If it had been this hard to get started, labor might be extremely hard too. I think it's time to just sit back and read a book or watch a ton of movies. anything that will pass the time. Then when baby is ready you will be all rested up for the long and yucky labor. Good luck!

I completely understand your pain :) I was in your shoes two years ago. Take my advise though and do not rush it!! I did and my baby was born two early :( My baby had respiratory problems and still does. Not to try and scare you are anything but please do not rush it. I had tons of people tell me that and I thought they were just crazy and did not understand the pain that I was in (both of my babies were over 9lbs). I ended up having preclampsia (sp??) and that is why I had my c-section at 36 1/2 weeks.
Good Luck with everything, and enjoy every minute of it :) It will all go by so fast (when you look back on it).

I had both of my children at 38 weeks. If you have lost your plug it should be happening soon. Probably within a week. If you start leaking fluid you need to go to the doctor. Walking didn't help me and neither did sex. When the time is right your little one will let you know. You are almost there. Congratulations!

Let the baby decide when the time is right. She/he knows when to complete this mission. You can and need to relax. I know it is not easy to do. I spent the first part of my labor on my hands and knees. Native American way. This relieved a lot of pain. My son was born completely natural in 1 hour and 22 minutes. Your new little human spirit will be there soon to meet you. Breath in. Breath out. Repeat as necessary.

I lost my plug over a week before I went into labor. you are dialated to 1cm that doesn't mean that labor is right around the corner or it is to far awya. I know kinda confusing. I was dialated to 1cm over a month before I had mine. I wasn't fortnuate to dialate my water broke and they placed me on the drip and they never could get me to dialate had to have a c-section. Anyways you could try walking stairs I did the laundry the day before I went into labor I walked up and down my steps while doing the laundry and it hurried mine up.

Nature will take its course. None of the remedies work for everyone. You've still got three more weeks of cooking in there. Patience is a wonderful virtue. But honestly it doesn't sound like you've got much longer. Best of luck!
