When you go is actually more important than where you stay. If you go at the "right" time you can stay at 4 star hotels for $49-$69 per night, go at the "wrong" time and you will spend far more than that at a dump.

Avoid special events, large conventions and weekends to get the best rates. Booking your rooms as far in advance as possible is a good idea, and book through the hotel, so that you can keep looking for a better rate all the way up until you leave. I do use the wholesale travel sites to compare rates with the hotel web sites. >Many LV hotels will price match the best online rate you find for their hotel<

If you're interested in a hotel, sign up for their e-mail updates. They will send you promotions for room rates.

Monte Carlo isn't bad for the price. It's in a good location on the strip (accross the street from MGM Grand and just down from Bellagio). The price is very reasonable. The rooms are decent and clean. The casino is decent.

Venetian has Tao, which is among the greatest golf equipment, and Caesars has Pure. The Palms is a massive social gathering position, however it isn't at the strip, if that is a crisis. The equal is correct for Hard Rock. Some different large golf equipment are JET at Mirage and LAX at Luxor.
