I am all for freedom of speech, but way to many people take the word freedom and turn it into thoughtless, insensitive, racist, and unforgivable words. Just because people have a right to something should not mean that they have the same right to abuse or use it for their own personal satisfaction. Or to belittle others.

Freedom of speech is very important and we cannot progress as a society without it. I may not agree with what someone has to say, but I will fight to the death for their right to say it!

People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use.

I believe in freedom of speech but realize that there have to be guidelines and some kind of logical boundaries.

freedome of speech "until it infringes upon the rights of others" is what I believe.
If your speech is directly harmful to another, it should be censored. Otherwise, unfortunately, we have to let it be.

I agree..the restrictions in place to protect the public are necessary in certain situations. an example..yelling "Fire" in a building when there is no emergency is not covered by the right to free speech..

There is a certain category of speech that must be regulated, and that is speech meant, and known, to lead to the unjustified injury of another person.

I do agree with freedom of speech.
Words were man-made. So if we say that an animal is ****, the animal wouldn't know what it meant. Not that saying that animals are that though...

people should be able to say what they want in private, but saying bad things about a certain race on public radio is just bad taste

Definitely agree with it. There is already enough censorship in this world.
