Next to America,Britain is golden lol. Well it is only one opinion. Then you have to look at the fact Britain wasn't on its way to becoming a Democracy until 1928 when women recieved the vote as well. So the Mother of Democracy aka Britain yes I would agree is very hypocritic,I also need to add that she is Not alone in that area.

ALL governments are hypocritical. They all demand the populace abide by laws that the politicians themselves like to blithely ignore. "Send your children to state schools!" says the minister for eduaction, who sends her child to an independent school. "Use public transport!" say just about all ministers, most of whom use 100% of their transport allowance on cars.

Britain's government may be hypocritical, but it's far and away better than hundreds of others. We may have inherited a bent system, but at least it functions relatively free from corruption. Look at EVERY country in Africa. Even South Africa and Nigeria - Africa's greatest hopes - are riddled with corruption and neglect, Somalia and Zimbabwe are just too horrendous to contemplate. Similar things (though not as bad) could be said about South America and even parts of Asia. Thailand for instance is not really a poor country, they make a fortune out of tourism. Yet it is EXPECTED that a policeman will extort a bribe from you.

Britain's government may be far from perfect, but it's lightyears away from just how bad it could be. We have the 4th largest economy in the world (larger than China, a country of a BILLION people), which despite Brown's increasingly erratic tinkerings still functions pretty smoothly. We have very high rates of literacy, a vastly high standard of living compared to most people in the world (who don't even have water, let alone electricity), democracy (of a sort), free speech - you name it. You'd be lucky to get away with insulting the president of a banana republic without having the memorable experience of 20 years in an overcrowded prison.

All governments are self-in seek of scumbags! There are an extremely few people who've the rustic's wellness at coronary heart and on the leading edge of their political profession. government's important purpose is to look reliable adequate to be voted in on the subsequent election, thereby ensuring that each minister retains his earnings and pension. If Tony, our expensive chief, instructed me the sky replaced into blue with white clouds, i might bypass outdoors and examine on it. Tony Bliar could have been only as chuffed to be a pop megastar as a infant-kisser. Tony Blair is what concerns maximum to Tony Blair.
