I am getting a fish tank and I want to know what kind of small fish should I get

It really depends on the size of the tank. If you already know what size add that to your quesion and we can help out and give you much better answers.

Also, since you are new to the hobby, welcome aboard! I would start with plattys a very colorful medium swimming fish. I would also get 1 Cory catfish to help keep the bottom of the tank clean. remember to only add 2-3 fish at a time when you start your tank. i could help you better if I knew how large your tank will be. hope this helps

1) what size fish tank?

2) neon tetras, glowlight tetras, guppies, otos, rasbora heteromorphas, and sunset coral dwarf platies

Guppy will be very good for the start. You can also put tetras, molly's with them.
