Surely that can't be considered 'green' - it's a new machine too

Try using a different programme. Most new washers have a quick wash which takes about an hour

The following things will slow down the time it takes to wash your clothes.

1. You have your washing machine on the longest cycle. This could include pre and post soaking (so could add an hour to the process) and superwash (which takes more than an hour, but often damages delicate items).
2. Your water flow is very slow, so it takes a long time to fill up the washing machine.
3. Your washing machine time has a problem. Probably not stuck as modern washing machines have an electronic timer.
4. Your washing machine is really a portal into a another dimension. This can be tested by whether you find odd socks in your wash, and you have no idea where they came from.
5. Combination of all the above.

You may have selected a prolonged wash cycle programme. If not you may have the type of washing machine that takes much longer than others. Two years ago I purchased a new machine from Comet and the assistant spent over an hour informing me of the length of each cycle and the volume of water each machine takes in. I plumped for a Whirlpool machine which is 'A' (the most economical ) , it uses very little water and I only use the 30 degree wash.

1st is it only filling from the cold mains?if it is that means it needs a hot inlet as well.If not try the time save button or a quicker programme, its best to wash at 30 these days now anyway so that should speed things up a lot.I use ariel at 30 and my shirts always come out spotless even on a quick wash, hope this helps you.

Sounds like you have it on the wrong setting, this could be the reason, unless you think it is three hours or it may seem like three hours, no machine new or old takes this long to wash, it is possible though that you may have it on a presoak cycle, that could seem like three hours but really isn't Good Luck !

My boyfriend is a service tech for appliance repair. He said he sees this every day and that (could be) your drain hose is probably too low and it is draining out while you are trying to fill it and that's why it takes a long time to fill and wash. It's worth a check.

If it is new it is under waranty and they have to send someone to check it out.

We just had this problem, it turned out to be a fault with the module on the computer. Something like that! I called the manufacturers and they arranged for an engineer to come n sort it out.

check with the place you bought it from, or check for a sticker on the back that has the phone number of the manufacturer. that doesnt sound normal. that is way too long to wait for laundry.

just my opinion. hope this helps.

That seems like a really long time! Is it pre-washing or something as well?
