I´d hand it back to them and be like, "Why are you giving me $1,000?!?" And then i´d have an expression like this ---> 0_o` lol I wont lie it would be nice to have that much money but unless i won it in a lottery or simply earned it myself by working hard then i just dont want it, as stupid as that might sound.

1 - ask why
2 - if acceptable, go to bank and change it to €
3 - use it for my holidays in 2 weeks
4 - go shopping (if any left over from shopping on holiday)
5 - pay off some credit card debt

I would ask what the hell is wrong w/ them!But if they insisted I take it,then whatever it's too early in the day to argue w/ anyone yet!!Then I would go get some breakfast,and shop of course!!

I'd put it towards a credit card that I need to pay down. Over time, this will save me on the interest.

I'd find out how much sterling pounds i can get for it...
Then pay my credit card and a few bills, maybe buy lunch too

go buy a new pair of boots
get a few things for my truck
go shopping for some new jeans, bras, panties
give mom $200
and get mine and my doggy's hair cut

pay off all my bills..put the rest in savings for next month. when you are on unemployment (from being laid-off) all extra money gets saved. :)
