I have a very small space porch area and I want to put the right flowers and plants in. What are best for my tiny area? I do have a small ground area. What would you do with this space for a client?

Depends what you like really. Since your really only focusing on ur cute little garden you could get high maintenance plants so you can remain attentive. dont get roses the bushes become too big. try a japanese maple tree, or a queen palm. As for flowers you can make a small planting bed and buy the mix of wild flowers and start off your garden quickly..when they get larger remove the ones you dont like and add ones you do like...the flowers you removed already improved that soil for your new flowers!!! Maybe you can actually reduce your grocery bill buy planting, tomatoes, avocados, aloe vera. think cute! Goodluck.

I am not sure where you live. If you have pesky snails or not. I would look for their trails. I have experimented with many flowers over the years. My most favorite is Gerbera Daisies. They are easy to find in most home and garden stores. I also like cactus of various types, marigolds, impatiens( like shade), pansies, vincas, etc. Just remember to water them and put the tall plants in the back and the small plants in the front.

The greatest determinant of cultivar choice depends on the amount of light you get on your porch. Otherwise, choose plants and flowers you love, colors and foliage that please you. Have fun!
