My name is Rebekah and I have no hang ups on whether you use Bek or Rebekah. But, I hate it when people call me Becky. Cringe factor one million :P Also, I have a very uncommon last name in Oz because of my Leb background so people call me by my last name sometimes. :P

My name is Emma, but I tend to be called a *longer* version of my name - 'Emmie' - rather than a shorter version!
Even though my name is short, I hate it when people call me Emma as it makes me feel like I'm in trouble or not close to the person!
I love being called Emmie :-)

Shorter version. I only get called by the long version when I'm in trouble.

It really depends on the situation.I usually use the shorter version of my name or my nickname,cuz it's easier and not so formal.But sometimes I introduce myself using my full name,like for example when I'm going for a interview or talking to older people,or.....)))

when i was little up to about 13 years old everyone used a short version of my name then i got older and wanted to sound grown up so i use the long .

Lol you must not like your name. Well mines Catherine Rebekah. Thats kinda long. So people call me Cat, Kitty, Bekah, Beks, or Kittybeks. Why.... cos its shorter ;) x

I shorten my name simply cos I don't like the full version! (I also shorten my Partner's name because when we first met I couldn't remember her name for a few dates as it's a Russian name!!)

My full name is too tricky for most people to remember
my husbands nickname for me is something they wont let me type in it but it rhymes with trucker
he calls me his "little f......"
it is a term of endearment not abusive
