I like to crochet, keeps my hands "busy"! I have made blankets, baby blankets that I donated, scarves, I want to do something that could be giving as a gift but not too hard. I know the basic stitches, sc, dc, etc. Any ideas? Maybe a very easy slipper pattern for my 8 year old granddaughter and her friends? Thank You.

Several websites have chartity crochet patterns, and I would imagine they'd be pretty easy to do since they want to encourage people to make as many of them as they can. You should find plenty of things to keep you busy on the following sites:

This site has a TON of different patterns:

Also, my grandmother makes crocheted snowflakes for our Christmas trees. It keeps her busy and it will be a very special reminder of her for years to come.

pillow covers for I believe it's 9x9 in size pillow forms. Or you could make them little purses. I made one for a friends daughter and she loves it. She put snacks and stuff in hers to take with her on the go. www.bernat.com has some great patterns for free all you have to do is become a member.
