I have. Let's take him to the public square, tar and feather him and then hang him.

It seems that is all that will satisfy the likes of the Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jessie Jackson and to a lesser extent the Rev. Soaries. The girls seem to be more forgiving than most of us, especially these three.

Sharpton is saying that he forgives Imus, but he must be fired. Nonsence. Forgiveness entails a price, just as apology comes with a price. I wonder what we would say if God says he forgives us, but we must go to Hell anyway. If that is the kind of God they worship, I want no part of him.

Of course the girls are hurting, and their familes, but so is Imus and his family. Imus probably deserves it, but does Diedre and his son, who up until last week looked on his father as some sort of god, only to see him grovelling and being villified. Poor lad must be astonished. Charles must be hurting too.

As christians and a race we must forgive and forget and be more charitable.

You are right. I have no idea who in the world Dierdre and Charles are.

If you turn to another radio station you can hear black women doing the same labelling, racist name calling. That doesn't make Imus right, but he SAID he got it from a Spike Lee movie.

This country cracks me up. We hate our differences and fail to remember how much alike we really are.

Peace

I think you can forgive someone and still want them to face their punishment.

Forgiveness means that you no longer bare malice towards another person for the wrong they have done you. You are willing to start anew emotionally with them.

But some actions must be punished to ensure that the person who did wrong fully understands that behaviours bring consequence. The punishment also serves as a lesson to others who may be considering making the same mistake.

As for Imus, I don't believe that he is evil or a bad person, but clearly he has some issues with race and as someone with a major radio/tv show viewed by millions he must be sanctioned. Why, because his words have already damaged and infected millions, he was irresponsible with his use of media and for that he should be punished.

But people shouldn't kick him when he is down, but the punishment should still stand.

Why would he need to be punished or forgiven for speaking his mind. If he thinks those basketball playing woman were nappy looking Ho's then who cares that's what he thought. It doesn't mean he thinks of all black woman like this because believe me there are some very good looking black woman out there and i am sure he can say the same. Basketball playing woman white or black are mostly some big nappy looking Ho's anyways it was just the truth

I first have to say I don't agree with racism. Second I think Imus was trying to be hip and coming off racial instead and do believe he is sorry. Plus I hate see Sharpton and Jackson just trying to get tv time not really caring. They should go over all the black people who use the N word and think it is okay! It is never okay! You never see any other race call each other racial slurs to be cool! It is ridiculous!

I wasn't offended as a black person. Nappy is the description of the texture of hair. I was offended as a woman. I was offended that he called these young ladies ho's. There was no reason for that.

forget that ****. im tired of this. chris rock goes off on racial jokes all the time no one gets pissed at him. ya know why? he's black!! they say racial stuff all the time. I don't see a black guy on tv apologizing or kissing someones *** for saying something derogatory about whites, yet i hear it every day, FIRSTHAND. all my life, and i do not care who is pissed, the majority of the black people i know are rude, ignorant and act like assholes.
