Well....this country was founded as a Constitutional Republic, not as a Democracy.
He is however, not a member of the Republican party. The name of his party is the Neo-Conservative Nationalist Movement.
Most republicans aren't idiots. Only the ones drinking Georgies kool-aid.

Officially, it's the Republican Party. But it should more accurately be called the Amnesty Party.
