What are the rules of "Go" (the Japanese board game)?

I've been playing it online but I just don't understand it and I keep getting beat. Can someone give me the basics?

The rules and strategy are on wikipedia, but I understand it is a very difficult game, and you are always learning, so getting beat is probably how it should be for now. Good luck!
