As per India judiciary ,the burden of proof falls on victim as such it takes long time.

The indian laws have strict terms against dowry seekers and frauds. Plenty of women take undue advantage of these laws. Dowry system as reclined dramatically since last 40 years.

IN ANY DOWRY TRANSACTION , two parties are involved,the asker /taker and the giver.With out therole of the two ,Dowry or anything adverse to the couple can not happen.Where does the government comes to oversee and control these evils?

there are laws.. but society has its own views.. if society where to boycott dowry then we wouldnt need a law to stop it.. its society that keeps it alive..
