Can it be a symptom of a sinus infection? I haven't had a nose bleed since I was a child. I'm 26 now. I have a terrible sore throat and stuffy/runny nose. I know I should probably post this in the health section, but I figure you guys would answer me faster and probably know just as much as they do. Thanks!

you should hold your nose to stop the blood coming out and keep your head slightly forward. don't tip your head back unless you like the taste of blood!
lots of things can cause nose bleeds... hight altitudes, colds, dry inside the nose, overheating, or even stress can cause them. it's because a blood vessel ruptures inside your nose.

Nose bleeding can be caused from many number of things...from dry air to vessels in the nose too close to the skin. The best thing to do to stop it is to sit down & relax, with kleenex under your nose - pinch the bridge (part between your eyes) part of your nose to stop the flow of blood. Depending on how often and how heavy your nose bleeds would be what determines if it is dangerous or not. You can always have your veins in the nose burnt together so it will no longer bleed....

Not sure I was told not to put your head up cause if you do the blood is going back in and you could drown in your own blood. So keep your head down and let the blood come out. But go see your local GP that would be the best option for you.

Pinch your nose and lean forward slightly. Hold until the bleeding stops.
dont blow your nose for a couple of hours.

bleeding can have many causes. most often its innocuous, but if it starts to happen regularly, go to your GP.
