I don't have to believe that getting bit by a rattlesnake will make one immortal to suffer the consequences if my bone-headed friend believes it and dies.

In other words, just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean it can't affect you. Whether or not Satan Worshipping is 'true' is beyond the point. What's very true is that alot of lost people (and alot of very twisted people, and alot of lost, twisted people) are drawn to it.

He is your friend, and it seems like you care about him, so its better if you first get your own 'ideas' in order spiritually before you start asking him about his. He sounds like he's drowning, and the 'group' to which he belongs is giving him the only life-line he believes in. You can help someone whose drowning but always remember: a drowning person saves no one. So help to the best of your ability, but don't get dragged into something over your head.

Besides, no matter what faith you are from, sincere heart-felt prayer is still one of the strongest ropes around. Energy doesn't ask for ID before it travels from one person to another.

Perhaps you'd like to learn what God's word indicates about whether it is real or myth(?):

"The Devil said to Christ: 'If you are a son of God, tell this stone to become a loaf of bread.' But Jesus replied to him: 'It is written, "Man must not live by bread alone."
So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time; and the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it. You, therefore, if you do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.”' --Luke 4:3-7

Its a cry for help and if you truly helped him like you said then you are a saint and iam sure that if you ask God for help God will help you help your Friend
but remember in the end every person must make his own choices in life and the only thing you can do is let him know that you love him and that his parents are always with him, and if he wants to see them again he should redeem him self by helping others that are going though what he has endured
God bless you :D

Most satan worshipers are unfortunatly posers, if it came to sacrificing their flesh just like most christians they would flee.
There are the faithful thogh, and most of do not worship "Satan" but more the older names such as Ahriman, Angra Mainyu, Azazel, Iblis, etc. Fate can be kind at times if one medles in it, however a true worshiper does not care about these material things and is more concerned with bringing him to glory instead of him brining us to glory.

Personally. I feel the way "evil" will take over in the End Times is clearly named. "Satan"ism. Which is just an extension of Luciferianism.
It basicaly teaches we do have a powerful spirit wihtin us. That exists on mutli-dimensional levels. But there is no God, and no Devil. Therefore, no reward or punishment. So do what you want!
There is indeed reward and punishment, and one can understand it. Even if one doesn't want to accept an original Creator.
And they are the end result of one's personal behavour. If one is destructive, one will be drawn to the destructive, recycling apsect of the Universe. And if one is constructive, one will be drawn to the creative aspects.
END OF STORY!

Yes, I guess I do believe in Satan worshipping. I have a cousin who is into that kind of stuff and believe me - you want to avoid it.
No worldly goods is worth your soul. I suggest you start praying for your friend, he's gonna need all the love and support he can get, since getting out of that kind of stuff is really hard.

I'll say a prayer for him

Striking a little hard with the time huh? 3 hours before christs legendary death on the only day in the millenium that can be written 666.
how many times did the relitives throw him in to dark alleys before they decided to change the lock?
How did he not notice your car behind him, and how did they get changed into their ritual garb before you got out of your car?
this is a little too cheezy but yea satan worshiping "works" like any other religion.
as for an Explaination, I would suggest we use our imaginations, it appears you already have...

If it is so, immediately get back him at any cost. He may be under brain wash of some idiotic chief. Take him to a psychologists immediately. It is not time for thinking further.

The existence of God / Satan is different issue.

Sounds like your friend is possessed by worldly goods. Satan worship is against Gods desires for us. Placing worldly posses ions above all else is Idol worship. Your friend needs a lot of help and prayers. He is possessed by demons. However; God can over come them. As long as God be with us who can be against us. pray for your friend to have the demons bound so your friend can see the light.
