I'm not sure you can compare Napoleon or Einstein to modern celebrities - although they were celebrated in their day. Shakespeare was as great as either of them
The question what people are great, how about Seamus Heaney, Robert de Niro, Nelson Mandela, David Bowie.

Gandhi, Jan Egeland, and Mother Teresa.
But also terrible people.
Hitler, Stalin, Hussein, and the like.
Great encompasses many things, both good and bad.

I don't know them personally, so I couldn't say.
I think it's a mistake to 'admire' celebrities, because what you're admiring is just their image, and not the real person.
