If the measure of 2 corresponding sides of two similar prisms is 4 meters and 5 meters, what is the ratio of the surface areas of the prisms?
4:5, 16:25, 32:50 or 64:125

Area of "similar" triangles = to ratio of their corresponding sides.

i,e Area of 1st prism/Area of 2nd prism = 4^2/5^2

= 16/25

Therefore the answer is 16:25.
This is a part of tenth standard Similarity

The ratio is the quadrat of the lengths

so (4/5)^2= 16/25
