How much is gas--petrol, if you prefer--selling for there now? By the gallon or the liter? Litre, sorry....

Don't know exactly (I drive a diesel), but I we're over the £1 per litre (~$2/litre) mark.

Litre is the unit used in the UK. Every product must have a metric vol/wieght/etc in a larger font than the imperial on the packaging. For things like petrol it caught on.
