I am 13. should i shave my pubic hair? or no? not yet? does it hurt?

No, you don't have to shave your pubic hair. I didn't start shaving til I was around 16.
I would like to suggest that you also discuss this with your mom to see what she thinks.
As for it hurting, no it doesn't hurt but be careful how hard you press (if your mom says it's ok for you to start now) because I've cut myself a few times doing it.
I no longer shave on a regular basis, just trim the hairs as needed at the recommendation of my dr.
You may start to notice some itching because of the hair growing back in between shaves, and you may notice little red bumps. That has to do with razor burn.
Also, the hair, each time you shave it will be harder when it comes to the texture.

Im assuming your talking about the pubic hair "downstairs". If this is the case i wouldnt reccomend it!!
Shaving down there causes irritation that isnt nice and wont go away for a few days at least. It doesnt look nice and you will be really uncomfortable. If you want too get rid of the hair , try trimming it a little around the sides so you can wear a bathing suit etc.
Waxing down there is probably the best option but the most painful , i wouldnt suggest you do this at home either !
Bottom line , stay clear from shaving your pubic hair down there if you want too avoid pain and a red itchy rash!!

Do NOT shave. Trim and get a professional wax. You could always use a hair removal cream but be sure to do a patch test as some people have reactions.

If you are asking the question chances are you are at least curious enough to try it out, so give it a shot and see if you like it. Keep in mind that it's only mildly itchy if you let it grow back, if you keep it up every 2 or 3 days it's fine.
